Important H1N1 Update

As you are undoubtedly aware, there have been a number of public health warnings regarding the cold and flu season in light of the H1N1 virus. Please be advised that HPS is taking all reasonable precautions on this matter to ensure the ongoing health and safety of all of our employees. Employee Flu Clinics
At HPS, we believe that we have a social responsibility to educate and assist our employees by providing access to the most accurate and up-to-date information on medically-related topics, such as the H1N1 outbreak. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider offers additional support and materials to all HPS employees and their family members and may be of assistance in determining if the seasonal or H1N1 flu shots are a measure you should consider. Employees Experiencing Flu-like Symptoms
If you do become ill with flu-like symptoms, including a fever accompanied by body aches, a runny nose, sore throat, nausea/ vomiting or diarrhea, contact your health care provider or employees in Ontario may also call Tele-Health Ontario at 1-866-797-0000. Your health care provider will determine if/ when you are fit to return to the workplace. Unless you have underlying medical conditions or are experiencing respiratory difficulties, it is not recommended that you go to the emergency dept. of the hospital or walk-in clinic as you may infect many more people.   Â

Precautionary Measures
