		Business Development Specialist Corporate Office Guelph, ON CANADA In response to over 90 years of continued growth and success, HPS is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist, creating a leadership position for HPS in name recognition and specification positioning within the Engineering/ Consulting community. We are a leading manufacturer of dry-type standard and specialty transformers and related magnetic products from 25VA to 35MVA, in voltage class up to 46kV & 250kV BIL. Role Overview: This high-caliber position challenges you to support the Marketing team with product management expertise to assist with integrating the internal Marketing Communications platform, while understanding the customer needs and the competition in various markets. You will lead the organization in the preparation of a platform to enter these markets by offering high-level technical and applications leadership for HPS. The Business Development Specialist supports US and Canadian Sales teams with technical product engagement with our customers and on selected new opportunities through the COD process. Identifying and researching industry markets, as well as identifying projects in support of both the long-term Strategic Planning process and the R&D platform, are key components of this role. You will develop and present technical papers, inlcuding periodic publishing of articles in trade publications, and prepare business cases as needed to lead HPS product and technology initiatives. Requirements: Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Technology (Power preferable) Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a technical marketing environment Clear understanding of the strategic aspects of business planning and development Ability to conduct effective, high-level internet and outside research Demonstrated oral/presentation communication skills to all levels, incl. engineering contacts Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, incl. Sales/ Marketing and Engineering In-depth understanding of electrical fundamentals and technical aspects in the application of transformer products to customer needs/ parameters Qualify for cross-border travel to U.S. (6-7 days/ month) Click here to apply!
