At the beginning of this year, Hammond Power Solutions (HPS) began offering classes to the sales teams of our representative agencies to help them better understand our processes and products. The classes, held in our Baraboo, Wisconsin facility, showcase the HPS structure, hands-on review of HPS product lines, as well as guidance on using the online HPS E-Portal including our configuration tool and our E-Quotes ordering tool.

As part of our efforts to provide our customers with a well trained salesforce, HPS also sponsored an intensive two-day training class in Chicago in April. All HPS regional sales managers along with over 25 of our representative’s outside sales force attended these sessions. The class concentrated on understanding our customers and the market needs for transformers and reactors, and aligning how we provide for those needs with market leading solutions. Topics included emerging markets such as solar, electric vehicle charging, and power quality. As well as a focus on our benefits, such as labour savings, increasing up-time, safety and energy savings retrofits.
A big thanks to the HPS staff integral in facilitating training. Their procedural and product knowledge has helped attendees to feel more confident in supporting HPS!
The next Product and Solution Training Class is scheduled for October, with the plan to host more in 2019.
